Noelle Falvo of Tricky Stitches Primitives

Hi and thank for dropping by. My name is Noelle Falvo. I live in Glenville NY with my husband Frank and our two boys Joey and Jonathan. I have always loved anything handmade. I can remember family vacations where my sisters and brother would be begging to go to the beach and I'd be begging to go to check out the local artisans.

My parents are both creative and gave me a great deal of inspiration and encouragement growing up. My mom taught me to sew on her old black singer when I was around 7 and my father, who was an art director for an ad agency, always sat down to draw with me.
I continued on to major in fine arts though life pulled me in another direction. I missed working with my hands and began making dolls for local craft shows as a creative outlet on the side.
After my kids were born I discovered ebay as a market place and “Tricky Stitches Primitives” came to be. I was lucky to come on board here at Pfatt Market Place when it was first launched and am proud to be a part of it.

Folk art dolls are my specialty an I am especially fond of making angels. I am inspired by many things, nature, my kids, people watching and my husband often tells me I look at the world as if it were framed. I love antiques, especially old toys.
I am constantly in search of things to “re-purpose” (in other words I am a die hard dumpster diver) and I take great joy in making something old and discarded useful and pretty again. I like to incorporate them into my work when I can.
I am an avid do-it-yourselfer an recently spent 3 months gutting and remodeling our kitchen. I also enjoy cooking, especially for a houseful of family.
Making dolls is my passion and It thrills me each time I get to send one off to a new home.
How lucky am I???!! I am humbled and grateful to be able to do what I love. I want to thank Sandy for asking me to be this month featured artist and I would like to thank you for taking the time to peek.
Happy Holidays!
